Why people leave their old garage door company

You've probably heard one of these.

They booked a $29 service call. The tech showed up and "discovered" $3,000 of urgent problems on the way to the truck.

They called their "local" garage door company. It was a national chain routing the call through a dispatch center six states away.

The salesperson quoted $500. The tech who showed up the next day said it was actually $1,800. Take it or leave it.

That's why we built LMS differently. One real Sacramento shop. One technician at your door. One price, written down before any work starts.
What LMS stands for

01

Real person, every call.

Family-owned in Sacramento — not a call center, not a national chain, not a private-equity rollup. The phone rings to someone who works here.

02

One quote. One price.

We tell you what it costs before any work starts. No "while-we're-here" surprises. No $29-bait that turns into a $3,000 bill.

03

No sales staff. Only techs.

Whoever shows up can do the work — and isn't on commission to upsell you. Quote it, do it, charge it. That's the whole job.

04

Written warranty, every invoice.

90-day workmanship guarantee plus 3–5 year parts warranty, written on every invoice. If it fails, we come back.

— Real person, every call
★★★★★

"Power outage knocked out our garage door. Called LMS — they scheduled next day, then called back an hour later with an earlier opening. Reset the system, good as new. LMS is always there when you need them."

— Techs who do the work right
★★★★★

"I used LMS three years ago for tracks, rollers, and hinges. I've kept their number ever since. They do great work at reasonable prices, explain everything, and take their time doing the job right."

How it works

Four steps. No surprises.

— Step one

You call.

Real person, usually picks up in three rings. Tell us what's wrong. We ballpark on the phone where we can.

— Step two

A tech arrives.

Same day for most repairs. You'll get a text with a photo of your tech on the way. They show up in an LMS uniform, with our logo on the truck.

— Step three

Written quote.

Diagnose, photograph, hand you a written number before anything is touched. You say go or no.

— Step four

Fixed today.

Most repairs done on the spot. 90-day workmanship guarantee plus 3–5 yr parts warranty, written on every invoice.

Need it fixed today?

Call the shop. A real person picks up.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks.

Five things people are wondering before they pick up the phone. We figured we'd just answer them.

01
How much does a broken spring cost?
$295–$395 for most spring replacements, depending on door size and how many springs you have. Custom doors and commercial doors are quoted case-by-case. You'll get a written quote before any work starts.
+
02
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — for most repairs, we can give you a free estimate over the phone. When the tech arrives, they'll do a full inspection and let you know if there's any additional work needed. You get the final say before you pay anything.

For new doors and openers, we'll provide a written estimate. Certain jobs require an on-site measurement before we can quote — we'll tell you up-front if that's the case.
+
03
What's your warranty?
90-day workmanship guarantee on every job, plus a 3–5 year manufacturer warranty on parts (varies by component). Both written on every invoice. If something we did fails inside 90 days, we come back and make it right.
+
04
Will the person who quotes me also do the work?
Yes. The person who quotes you and does the work is a technician — not a salesperson. They're not paid on commission to upsell, and they're the same person in the same visit. That's why we built LMS without sales staff.

05
Are you a national chain or actually local?
Family-owned and operated in Sacramento since 2018, with 20+ years of trade experience on every truck. Not a national franchise, not a private-equity rollup, no out-of-state ownership. We dispatch from our shop here in Sacramento County and answer the phone ourselves — calls don't route through a national call center.
